Who Is Peace Children's Home

Peace Children’s Home (PCH) Orphanage was established in 2004 by Hrang Cin Than (Samuel) and Robert & Nancy Whistler in Yangon, Myanmar, located in Southeast Asia, with the guiding principle at the forefront... Seeking to put God’s love into action by bringing hope to the orphans of Myanmar.

Robert and Nancy met Samuel in 2000 while on a mission trip. At the time Samuel was a student at Myanmar Bible Institute in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar. Following this trip, Robert and Nancy began sponsoring Samuel to help ensure that he was able to complete his education.  Samuel’s post educational plan was to be a preacher.  However, God's plan for Samuel was different and with Robert and Nancy's assistance, PCH was birthed with 4 young children.

In 2009 PCH was established as a non-profit to provide support and to bring awareness to the plight of children in this part of the world.

In 2014 Kevin Manship, a member of the PCH board of directors, traveled to Myanmar for the first time. Being a father of four daughters of his own, his fatherly heart-strings tugged hard to do something more. Upon his return, God spoke to him telling him he needed to do something for these people, specifically these children. He would  frequently wake up to the words of the song “Do Something” by Matthew West. On one occasion he even had a vivid dream of a woman holding a child who said to him, “I choose you!” Though involved with the ministry, other things stole his time until 2016 when Kevin took over PCH following Robert's passing and Nancy's retirement.

Kevin, along with his wife Abbie and their youngest two daughters, traveled to Myanmar in 2018. This trip brought about a great change in Kevin's heart for how he looked at not only his own children but those that had nowhere to go and no one to care for them. While the plans God has for Kevin, Samuel and PCH are still unfolding, Kevin and Samuel know that through demonstrating Christ's love blessings will surely flow forth. Kevin and Samuel are working closely together to ‘build a better home with love’
